Afrin Women’s Vegetable Market

Kongra Star launched a vegetable market project to support women from Afrin living in Shehba district and camps. The vegetable market will be opened after the Eid al-Adha, from 7am to 7pm and 60 women will work in it. Vegetable are initially to be sold in five villages: Fafîn, Babinis, Til Şiîr, Til Qirah and Til Sosîn. Women with financial difficulties will be employed in the vegetable market. They have agreed with the Municipal Committee to clean the market place and to arrange a suitable place. The women will work in coordination with the Agriculture Committee, bringing summer vegetables to the market of Ehdas at 6am every day to be distributed to the five villages. As well as the vegetables, molasses and dry summer vegetables, jam, pepper and tomato paste, and pickles are to be sold.
