The Rojava Revolution in North-East Syria is transitioning the region into a stateless democracy, with a complex system of communes, co-operatives and citizen committees; rebuilding society on three fundamental pillars – direct democracy, ecology, and gender liberation – and co-operation plays a crucial role.

This free workshop will include a film about the revolutionary new system being built up in the region.

The Star & Shadow volunteer-run café will be open selling hot vegan/vegetarian food. All fairtrade ingredients and organic where possible.

The Solidarity Economy Association (SEA) are urging UK co-ops to support this movement and have teamed up with the Star and Shadow Cinema Co-operative to offer a workshop to help those interested to find out more.

Café open 12noon-5pm selling hot food, cake all organic and fair trade ingredients.
