The people of Fars al-Ghanam village in the countryside of eastern Manbij formed a co-operative to run an electric generator to provide electricity to 200 houses in the village for eight hours per day at a cost of 1,700 SYP [Syrian Pounds].
The project was created in co-ordination with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Economic Committee in Manbij, and inaugurated with a celebration attended by villagers and representatives of the institutions of the Democratic Self Administration, administrators of Ronahia Hevgirtin Co-operative and other representatives of civil society institutions of Manbij.
