Anka Language and Art Education Cooperative

The Anka Language and Art Education Cooperative organises multilingual education and art workshops in the neighbourhood of Bağcılar in the borough of Bağlar (Rêzan) in Amed (Diyarbakir).

The cooperative was established on 11.09.2019 and organises workshops in the fields of Language, Art and Education, as well as hosting workshops carrying out studies in the fields of drama, music, painting and language.

Additionally, the cooperative carries out studies in the field of multilingual education and training, generally targeting to the 4-18 age group.

At the end of education, it organises sightseeing tours with children and their families.

Wave of repression against Kurdish language associations continues

Two more people were taken into custody as part of the wave of repression against Kurdish language institutions. This brings the total number of people in custody from Kurdish cultural and language organizations to 31.

Mehmet Asena: We will protect our language

MED-DER worker Mehmet Asena said that the raids on MED-DER and Payîz Pirtûk were part of a systematic and special war policy, and added that they will defend the Kurdish language despite the arrests and repression.
