Kocaköy / Karaz‎

Kocaköy (Turkish) or Karaz‎ (Kurdish) is a small town and district in the Diyarbakır Province of Turkey / North Kurdistan. The population was recorded as 5,764 in 2010.

Some of the rural population has been internally displaced to urban areas during the conflict between the Turkish Government and the Workers’ Party of Kurdistan (PKK). In 2017 curfews were declared and enforced by the Turkish state.
