Hasakah –10 projects developed by the municipality in Til Temir (Tell Tamer), a town in Jazira Canton of North and East Syria, have been approved by the Union of Municipality of North and East Syria. Digging water wells, building roads, bridges and water channels are among the projects that will be put into practice by the municipality in 2024.
In an interview with NuJINHA, Nûr Mihemed, an engineer at the Culture and Arts Department of the municipality, gave information about the projects.
The People’s Municipality in Til Temir will put 10 projects into practice this year, she said. “Some of the projects are the construction of a bridge between Benca and Bab Al-Xêr villages located in the line of fire, roads in the villages of Mount Kizwan, a water channel in the village of Ub Al-Tîna and the roads of Til Temir. In addition, Martyr Argeş Commune and Martyr Ibrahim Commune will be built. Two water wells will be dug in the village of Til Erbûş against the water crisis.”
‘We will meet the needs of civilians affected by the attacks’
This year, the municipality will focus on the construction of roads and bridges in the border villages that are often subjected to the Turkish attacks, Nûr Mihemed emphasized. “We will build roads and bridges in the two villages in the line of fire, located between Til Temir and Zirgan. We will put our projects into practice and meet the needs of civilians affected by the attacks. We will solve the water crisis suffered by villages despite ongoing Turkish airstrikes. We will keep providing services to our people despite all the Turkish attacks.
