The Democratic Autonomous Administration of Deir Ezzor (DAA) is implementing an environmental and developmental project in the governorate’s schools. The project involves installing solar energy systems to provide a stable, eco-friendly electricity source, improve the educational environment, reduce operational costs, and raise awareness about the importance of clean energy.

The Hajin Educational Complex, under the Education and Training Authority of the DAA in Deir Ezzor, has launched an environmental and developmental project in the “Al-Wasat” and “Girls’ Secondary” schools in Hajin city. The project includes installing solar energy systems and renovating classrooms.

The project involves setting up a solar energy system consisting of 16 solar panels in each school, supported by storage batteries and conversion devices, including a V48 device and tubular batteries, to generate approximately 40 amperes of clean energy. This ensures a stable and environmentally friendly electricity source.

Additionally, the project includes installing a water purification station in each school, with a production capacity of up to 100 liters per hour, to provide safe drinking water for students and educational staff.

The main work on the project is expected to be completed within this week, with plans to implement similar projects in other schools to benefit students at the start of the new academic semester. Concurrently, efforts are underway to rehabilitate several classrooms in the two schools to enhance the educational environment.

The project was carried out during the summer break to take advantage of the period, reduce school operational costs by relying on renewable energy, and support essential services like electricity and water. It also aims to raise students’ awareness of the importance of clean energy.

Representatives of the Educational Complex emphasized that this initiative is part of a comprehensive plan by the DAA to develop school infrastructure in the governorate. They noted that the project will contribute to improving the quality of education by providing a suitable learning environment.
