The Hasakeh City Council, in cooperation with the People’s Municipality and neighborhood communes, continues its weekly environmental awareness initiative, which was launched at the beginning of spring. This week, the campaign reached the Al-Aziziyah neighborhood.
A service campaign launched by the Hasakeh City Council in coordination with the People’s Municipality and neighborhood communes in early April aims to improve public services and raise environmental awareness. Today, it reached the Al-Aziziyah neighborhood.
The cleaning campaign included public squares and main streets in the neighborhood, with the participation of committees from the People’s Municipality, members of the neighborhood communes, and a number of local volunteers who helped collect waste and clean sidewalks and public spaces.
Awareness leaflets were also distributed during the campaign, highlighting the importance of public cleanliness and the role of citizens in protecting the environment. The leaflets also provided guidance on how to sort waste and handle it in a healthy and proper way.
The campaign will continue in the coming period to cover all neighborhoods of the city, after previous phases were carried out in the neighborhoods of Al-Kalaseh, Al-Askari, Khashman, Al-Nashwa, Al-Mushayrifah, and Tal Hajar.
