The Committee of the Union of Co-operatives in the region of Tell Hamis in Qamishlo held a special meeting for women in the village of Nayem to discuss women’s rights in the co-operatives societies and to encourage them.
Layla Yosef, administrator in the Union of Co-operatives, started the meeting by explaining the ideas of co-operative societies, then discussed the women’s economy. There have also been discussions about the living conditions and the importance of forming co-operatives, especially in villages. Layla also explained to the women how to form co-operatives.
