Nur El Huda Muhammed, one of the bakery staff, told ANHA: “As women in Deir ez-Zor, we needed such a project to help the development of women’s economy. Here, we both provide our livelihood and support other projects aimed at increasing women’s economy.”
Another bakery worker named Assad Muhammed said that the perspective of the society changed with the role of women in production. “There are two men and four women working in this oven. Now our perception towards women has changed.”
A citizen named Mahmud al-Ubeyd comes to buy bread from the bakery every day. He expressed his satisfaction by stating that the bread produced by women is of good quality and affordable.
