The Sara Organization to Combat Violence against Women organizes awareness-raising activities to create a society without violence.

The Sara Organization to Combat Violence against Women, a women’s organization based in North and East Syria’s Qamishlo city, organizes awareness-raising activities and events to end gender-based violence and femicide.

“We launch campaigns, organize conferences and panels to raise awareness about gender-based violence,” said Rasha Derwish, Spokesperson of the Sara Organization. “During our activities, we tell women the principles and goals of our organization so that women can get to know us better.”

The Sara Organization also uses social media platforms to raise awareness about gender-based violence. “We defend women everywhere and make efforts to solve the problems faced by them,” said Rasha Derwish. “We provide all kinds of support to women survivors of violence. More efforts are needed to overcome the obstacles faced by women in society.”
