{"id":13195,"date":"2024-11-15T10:11:03","date_gmt":"2024-11-15T10:11:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mesopotamia.coop\/?p=13195"},"modified":"2024-11-15T10:12:42","modified_gmt":"2024-11-15T10:12:42","slug":"the-formation-of-environmental-committees-in-schools-in-amuda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mesopotamia.coop\/the-formation-of-environmental-committees-in-schools-in-amuda\/","title":{"rendered":"The formation of environmental committees in schools in Amuda"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Environmental Committees are being formed in schools in <a href=\"https:\/\/mesopotamia.coop\/cities\/amuda\/\">Amuda<\/a>, as part of a collaboration between the <a href=\"https:\/\/mesopotamia.coop\/tag\/keziyen-kesk\/\">Keziy\u00ean Kesk Environmental Association<\/a> and the Education Authority of the Jazira Canton. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Environmental Committee in Umm al-Rabie Elementary School in Amuda started its programme, which included a lecture on the concept of an &#8216;environmental school&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lecture on the concept of eco-school included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The importance of preserving the environment and ecological balance as a collective responsibility of each individual.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Risks resulting from climate change, environmental degradation and loss of vegetation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the end of the lecture, many students and teachers participated in planting tree seeds and writing brochures calling for the preservation of the environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Environmental Committees are being formed in schools in Amuda, as part of a collaboration between the Keziy\u00ean Kesk Environmental Association and the Education Authority of the Jazira Canton. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":13196,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[232],"tags":[323],"class_list":["post-13195","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-ecology","tag-keziyen-kesk"],"acf":[],"wps_subtitle":"This report was published by <a href=\"https:\/\/greentress.org\/the-formation-of-environmental-committees-in-schools-in-amuda\/\">Keziy\u00ean Kesk<\/a> (Green Tress) in North and East Syria on 20 October, 2024.
